ABOUT ME
I’m Valeria, a yoga teacher and movement enthusiast originally from the south of Italy, based in Amsterdam.
My yoga journey began unexpectedly during a time of uncertainty while living in the Netherlands.
I was immediately captivated by the practice, which eventually led me to embark on a long, introspective solo journey through Indonesia. It was in Bali where my yoga path truly started.
I completed my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Mahayogi Gokulacandra Das in Bali, followed by a 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at Vikasa Yoga Academy in Thailand in 2023, where I had the opportunity to study with teachers including Daniel Rama and Shakti.
Since then, my curiosity for movement and the human body has kept me constantly learning and evolving.
In 2025, I became a certified Chromatic Yoga teacher, studying with Matt Giordano and deepening my understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and intelligent sequencing.
Most recently, I returned to Bali to complete a 100-hour Yoga & Mobility Continuing Education with Mathieu and Maeva Boldron, founders of Change Perspective, further integrating mobility and functional movement into the way I practice and teach.
My teaching is rooted in traditional yoga principles and Vinyasa Yoga, while continuously evolving through intelligent movement, mobility, anatomy and biomechanics. I love combining creative sequencing, strength, functional movement, breath and a spirit of playfulness, giving students the tools to understand their bodies rather than simply follow shapes.
My classes can be dynamic and challenging, but awareness always comes first. I want students to explore, stay curious, build confidence and discover new possibilities in their bodies.
Meditation, breathwork and guided visualization are also an important part of my teaching, bringing attention beyond the physical practice and into deeper layers of self-awareness.
My curiosity for the body has recently taken me beyond movement and into hands-on bodywork.
In 2026, I trained in Sports Massage and Ayurvedic Head, Face & Shoulder Massage in Bali.
I’m excited to bring this new element into my work, exploring the relationship between movement, recovery, touch and wellbeing.
Beyond weekly classes, I regularly host workshops and masterclasses in Amsterdam and have led few Yoga Retreats between Greece and Southern Italy.
Retreats hold a very special place in my heart: they allow me to bring together movement, practice, travel, connection and community in a way that goes far beyond a regular yoga class.
Ultimately, whether I’m teaching a class, leading a retreat or working one-to-one, my intention is to share a practice that feels grounded, curious and human — one that leaves space for effort and ease, discipline and play, tradition and evolution.
